Summer's here. You've got plans. Amplify the fun with technology!

End of Summer

Summer has finally arrived. Kids and families around these parts are thinking about days on the beach, spending time at the pool, exploring Birch Grove Park, going camping, hanging out with friends & relatives ... enjoying parades, family barbeques, the 4th of July fireworks, maybe even a cross-country road trip or airplane ride to a far-off place.

Summers are the best part of growing up - for kids and parents alike.

Here's the thing: technology is everywhere. Many kids and families in our community are fortunate enough to have access to a wide range of technologies: digital cameras, cell phones, home computers with Internet access and more.

I thought it would be fun to create a place to share FREE technology tools so that kids and their families could use the technology they have to create wonderful digital memories of the Summer of 2011. (And ... to help kids keep their tech skills fresh.)

So, I created this blog. I'll use it to share tips, fun & free websites, mind-blowing Web 2.0 tools, challening brain games and other technological treasures. We'll also be learning about digital citizenship / internet safety, what can and can't be posted online, copyright and more.

Want in? All you have to do is bookmark this site. (Or, subscribe via RSS.)

My first post is coming soon, and it's guaranteed to be a hit. Trust me. :)

Happy Summer,

Mr. Jarrett
